Local Government Restructure Studies
We have performed more restructure studies in BC than any other firm. Whether it's the creation of a new municipality or the expansion of an existing one, our goal is the same: to provide an unbiased look of the changes and impacts so residents have a solid base of information. This allows them to ask the right questions, get the answers they need, and form their own opinion. We understand local governance, the processes required to create or expand municipalities, and the financial elements of running one.

Comprehensive Development Plans
Municipalities often need to take a broader look at managing growth than just zoning and community plan bylaws. We have been preparing comprehensive development plans — plans that integrate finances, engineering, and land use planning elements — for over twenty years. We frequently manage teams of planners, engineers, facilitators, and other specialized experts in these comprehensive projects.

Other Financial Studies
We have undertaken many other studies related to municipal finance, property taxation, and local services, including property tax comparisons and surveys; tax base analyses; cost-of-growth assessments; tax strategy studies; and impact assessments of large industrial projects such as mines and dams.
